Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Enhance the weakness!
Samsung Google Nexus S are powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), at the homescreen there, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) use black color as main color, and it will be more save the battery life. The icon on the homescreen will become more clear with color!
Beside that, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) now allow you to perform multi touch on texting, which mean you can hold the shift and press the alphabet you wish to enter or hold the shift and enter the number from your virtual qwerty key pad. Its no longer need to switch to another layout of the virtual qwerty keypad! Make your texting become easy and save your time!
Copy and Paste
This is not a very fresh function, but Samsung Google Nexus S make it more easier to operate “Copy and Paste”! When you are surfing on a webpage or reading an ebook, you can hold your finger at the screen and it will direct copy it and paste to the destinate place. But if you are holding on text, it will appear two arrows which allow you to highlight the sentence you wish to copy.
NFC (Near-Field Communications)
Samsung Google Nexus S are announced that support for the NFC. NFC enable a high speed file transfer from your handphone. (Nokia and Apple are announce too that in future their device will have NFC too)
Internet Call VoIP
Samsung Google Nexus S with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) now allow you to make call to your buddy with SIP account, beside this, you also can store the contact in your phonebook for future calling!
3G front camera now not only available in Samsung Galaxy S i9000 only
All the while, only Samsung Galaxy S I9000 have the 3G front camera, Now Samsung Google Nexus S also have 3G front camera function! with this, now you can try out to snap your own picture by using the front camera or use it to video calling or….. lets try out Google Talk Video~
There is plenty more improvement from Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Of course, with a great operating system, Samsung doing their best part by providing the high end hardware which is Super AMOLED! a well known display screen among the world and with the ARM Cortex A8 1Ghz processor, It make Samsung Google Nexus S nearly a perfect handphone for all users!
Although Samsung Google Nexus S are still using 5MP camera, but this time it does come with LED flash which Samsung Galaxy S I9000 no flash at all. With LED flash, now we can snap a picture in dark enviroment!
Samsung Google Nexus S also improve the handphone 3D graphic accelerator (OpenGL ES), Now you can play 3d games with more nicer display and more smooth! Another is the phone function and respone, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) make it more smooth and sensitive, even the motion will become more smooth in live wall paper!
At last, I can say that this is a great combination device from Google and Samsung!
