The Nokia C6-An Introduction
Nokia have unveiled their latest handset, the C6, a smartphone benefiting from great connectivity and a full Qwerty keypad.
The Nokia C6 is truly a multimedia phone in every sense of the word. The camera facility is great quality. Boasting a 5 mega pixel resolution, the snapper benefits from a dual LED flash, meaning those tricky shots in lower lighting conditions need not be a problem. Autofocus help keep the pictures looking clear and thanks to the handsets built in global positioning , Geo Tagging can automatically store location information on every photograph you take. The accelerometer chip means snaps can be taken in portrait or landscape mode, handy if there is a lot of scenery you want to include in your photo. Video footage can also be filmed on the C6 in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second. A handy secondary camera is fitted to the front of the unit to enable video calling. The audio player can handle a variety of file formats which include MP3, eAAC+ and WMA and an easy to use media player makes sorting through your tracks an easy task. The impressive screen that the unit has means video playback is crystal clear in true 16:9 widescreen, and MP4 and WMV and amongst the file types that the C6 can handle. Obviously multi media usage is a drain on the phones memory, Nokia however do supply a 2GB micro SD with the handset and you have the option to upgrade this to up to 16GB if you find you need even more space for your files. The C6 also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, meaning you can enjoy the ultimate audio experience with your own choice of headphones.
The Nokia C6 offers a great range of connectivity options to the user. WiFi is facilitated, meaning when in range of a personal network you can enjoy the speediest web browsing experience. However whilst on the move you can always be kept in touch thanks to 3G, EDGE and GPRS. Push E Mail notification will keep you instantly up to date with your inbox . Social Networking plays a big part in the Nokia C6, as well as having applications available for all of the major sites the customisable homescreen allows you to have a continuous live feed, keeping you upto date with the updates of your friends and allowing you to update you own status without logging in. The photographs taken on the handsets camera can also be uploaded directly to a number of websites. The 3.2″ TFT didplay on the C6 is extremely high quality, showing 16 million colours and a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. When held horizontally, the screen can be slid upwards to reveal a handy Qwerty keypad, ideal for composition of messages.
The Nokia C6 is an excellent phone which perform well in all departments and should prove to be a sure fire hit for the manufacturers.
